I think what I would like to do is to move toward the treatment of affordable housing as “core infrastructure”. This would mean that Sarnia and the County of Lambton would need to pre-plan expansion for both housing and other forms of infrastructure – water, waste water, pipes for different resources like natural gas, etc. – into new developments. This planning would need to be forward thinking as it would impact both the City’s and the County’s official plans.
