McEachran, Carrie

One specific investment I would prioritize is moving forward with a high-impact phase of the Waterfront Master Plan, focused on creating more active public spaces and strengthening the connection between our waterfront and downtown.

Success needs to be measured. I would look at increased use of the waterfront and public spaces, the number of events and activities being held, new business openings, private investment and growth in the tax base from new development in the surrounding area, as well as feedback from residents and visitors.

Our waterfront is one of Sarnia’s greatest assets. Investment there should not only improve the public space, it should help bring more people downtown, support local businesses and create a destination for residents and visitors.
