I will establish a Mayor’s Action Group on Housing, bringing together the City, County, housing providers, developers, mental health and community partners, people with lived experience, and organizations already working on housing projects. The goal will be to identify barriers, coordinate efforts and get projects moving. We will commit to meeting the City’s target of 30% of new housing being affordable, while increasing the supply of attainable housing in Sarnia. By the end of four years, residents will see more affordable and attainable housing approved, under construction and completed across our community.
