Molson, Scott

Depends on the circumstances.

I support flexibility where it makes sense, but not a blanket reduction across the entire city. Each development should be considered based on its location, density, access to public transit, available street or nearby public parking, accessibility requirements, and the potential impact on neighbouring residents and businesses. If a developer can demonstrate that fewer spaces will meet the actual needs of the development without pushing the parking problem onto surrounding streets, I would support a reduction. My goal is to remove unnecessary barriers to housing while protecting existing neighbourhoods.
